Family Is Forever - September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop where we are showcasing fun artwork using the "Family is Forever" set.  There are 80 Consultants participating this month so you should find many gems along the way!

If you are coming from Nikka's Blog, you are on the right track.  The Blog Hop starts at Melinda's Blog if you were to get lost along the way.

I chose to use our Paper Fundamentals Basic Assortment to create this card.  The package includes 20 double-sided, 12" x 12" sheets (2 each of 10 designs) with the same design on both sides, one side with a glossy resist pattern.  It comes in the Basics color palette to include black and shades of brown and grey.

I selected the heart pattern and, using a Sponge Dauber, applied Pixie Ink (aka "The New Pink" lol) to the textured paper.  The white hearts became a soft pink, providing a soft touch to this card.  Too fun, right?!  Can you imagine using black with bright colors of ink, even for Halloween?!  Oohh!  I may make a card with that idea in mind!  Stay tuned!

Here is a closeup of the focal point. You can see I incorporated several images from the stamp set (pictured below).  I used 3-D Foam Tape to add some dimension and included a Clear Sparkle that I made pink using the Tender Pink ShinHan Marker.  I just colored the sparkle!  That's it!  I also added two hearts from the Chalk It Up Assortment, also coloring them with the sponge dauber so they would match the rest of the color scheme.
I really love this stamp set as the various images really allow for versatility.  It can be yours for just $5 with a qualifying $50 purchase.  (You can find details here!)

Hop on over to Michele's Blog where you will find some fun artwork, no doubt.  :)  Before you do so, I would love to hear from you!

Enjoy this fabulous Labor Day weekend and Happy Hoppin'!

Picture My Life Challenge - Pick Your Favorite!

I challenged my team members to use one of our Picture My Life (PML) Programs for something other than what it is intended.  Since Convention, I have seen various ways to use Picture My Life, making this program that much more enticing.  (Have I told you that I am in love with PML, not to be confused with PMS?  LOL)

Here are some fun creations submitted by my team members.  Please take a moment to select your favorite (VOTE FOR ONLY ONE) by identifying so in the comment section.  Voting will take place until the end of the day Monday, September 1st - at which point I will note "Closed Voting" in the comments section.  Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to vote!

CTMH Welcomes ShinHan Markers

This fun and happy focal point, on this card, was colored in with our new ShinHan markers. The markers are not new but they are new to our product line and I love them!  They have a fine and brush tip.
I do not possess a whole lot of artistic talent so am not so good with blending the markers but I will practice. It still looks good, right? :)

Thanks for stopping by today. I pray your week is off to a great start!

Peace & Joy

This is a fun card we made at Convention using the Snowhaven paper packet. I love the simplicity and colors of this card!
Bare with me as I transition to a new area and job this week. I won't be far! :)

Have a great week!

Thank you for joining my team, the "Heartfelt Sentiments", as we highlight our Hostess Exclusive Stamp Sets.  There are 11 stamp sets that can only be obtained if you host a Gathering (aka Party).  What does it take to host a party?  Just $150 in orders or $150 purchase if you want to treat yourself!  These exclusive stamp sets can are offered at a great savings, several dollars off their retail price.  Check them out in our online catalog, "Annual Inspirations", beginning on page 5 and continuing through page 10.  Click here for the online version.

If you are coming from Debi's Blog, you are on the right track, and I KNOW you saw some cute artwork using the "Hats Off" stamp set!  You can find a list of all participants at the end of this post.

I chose to highlight the "Be Jolly" stamp set.  I tend to be one who is ready for Christmas when it arrives in December but this stamp set is a good reason to do Christmas in August!  :)
This card started out with me using a different patterned paper and then I saw this cute polka dot pattern that comes with the "Snowhaven" paper pack and...I was in love! It is so cute and I can see some great potential with it, beyond Christmas or Winter-themed projects.
I kept this card rather simple, using Silver Glitter Paper, Black Sequins, Clear Sparkles, and Red Glitter Gems to bling it up a bit.
Here, I stamped the sentiment on a Dimensional Element, added some bling, and decorated this fun Designer Creations Ruby Paper Bag.  It is perfect for a fun little goodie.  They also come in Slate and Lagoon.
Head on over to Tonya's Blog as she showcases some fun artwork using "Happy Hexagons".  Be sure to let me know how you like these creations and this stamp set!

Happy hoppin'!

Blessed to See Another Year!

I celebrated another birthday on Friday, by the grace of God.  These days we are usually in an in-service on my birthday (not so much fun) but at least it fell on a Friday and I was able to celebrate all weekend!  Actually, my celebrating started on Thursday evening when my parents took me out to dinner. Then, my husband and I spent the weekend in Santa Fe.  I LOVE THAT PLACE!
It had been years since I had been back to Santa Fe but have been several times since living back in NM these last two years.  I LOVE the downtown plaza and enjoy seeing all the tourists checking out the NM artwork, shops and cuisine.  We have fallen in love with "The Shed", where the photo above was taken.  The food is delicious and we highly recommend it!
No better way to start off Saturday morning than with STARBUCKS!
Another one of our favorite restaurants is "Thunderbird".  It has a balcony where we enjoy overlooking the plaza and all the activities taking place.  If you have never been to Santa Fe, or it has been a long time since you have been there, well...worth...the...visit!  I know you will love it too if you enjoy seeing and experiencing new things and a different culture.

I am blessed beyond measure!  Happy Sunday!
