For this hop we will be feature the letter "A". This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter chose as their "A" element will be featured in their post.
If you came from Shalana Glass' Blog then you're on the right track.
For my artwork, I decided to share "A Way to Package Gift Cards". :) We need them throughout the year, right?! For a Christmas gift, I chose to use our Designer Creations Paper Bags (that come in various colors) to create a gift card holder. I folded it up 2" from the bottom of the bag and glued the flap on either side, creating the pocket for the card.
The "pocket", formed by the bag opening, can be used for whatever fun treat you would choose! Buy a gift card for a movie theater and you could put some microwave popcorn or their favorite treat inside. The possibilities are limitless. What about a few homemade cookies? I did use our new Artistry Cricut cartridge to cut out this layered Santa and Christmas tree so there is a more technical "A" for you. These days I love giving gift cards so the recipient can choose what they want to buy so I will be using this throughout the year. I enjoy finding different ways to use our products and hope I have inspired you to do the same.
Here are the cuts made to create the Santa. I did use the skin color ShinHan Marker to shade in the area where his face would be and then just glued the various layers. Too fun!
