Bling It Up - Artwork with an Attitude

As a member of the "Stamper's with an Attitude Team", through Close To My Heart, I am joining this Blog Hop where we are featuring artwork that is "blingy and full of attitude".  There are 14 participants.  If you are coming from Sheila's Blog, you are on the right track!  A list of participants is provided at the bottom of my post.

Nothing screams attitude and bling like a purse (and I have plenty of them)!  Using a pattern found through this link, I used our Ivy Lane paper line to create this fun purse.  It was made from one sheet of cardstock that measures 8 1/2" x 11".
The sentiment came from the Casual Expressions stamp set.  The Ivy Lane Assortment is too fun to include on your creations.  That is where the purple rosette came from and of course, I had to include some Pink Glitter Gems.
Here is a side view of the purse - perfect for including some little goodies.

Now, hop on over to Melinda's Blog.  She always has something fun up her sleeve!  Don't forget to leave a comment before you do.  I would love to know what kinds of goodies we could include in the base.  The first thing that comes to my mind is CHOCOLATE!  What else?!

Cutesy Up Your Summer Events!

Who wouldn't love to join you at a summer celebration with these cute and yummy looking decorations?  It wouldn't matter what the outside temperature was, just be sure you have plenty of sunscreen (and water balloons might help).
These items were made using the Ivy Lane paper packet and embellishments and of course, our exclusive Cricut Cartridges.  You can't beat the price savings on creating your cutesies by hand, purchasing papercrafting items rather than already-made items from the store.  Let me know if you have any questions about anything pictured above or would like more ideas.

Summer is almost here!

Heartfelt Sentiments Team Paper Packet Focus

Thank you for joining me on our team Blog Hop where we are showcasing products using the Ivy Lane paper packet this month.  The hop is a circle so feel free to click on the link at the bottom of each post to keep moving through.  I have also provided a link to the participant's blogs below.  If you are coming from Marianne's Blog, you are on the right track.  Thank you for joining us!

I am excited to share my creation using the "Ivy Lane" paper packet from Close To My Heart.  With the retreat I attended last weekend, we were invited to participate in a gift exchange for altered/papercraft-type items.  I pulled from some items I had in my papercrafting studio and this is what I came up with (thanks to the help of my Mom on the quilling).
This is a mini cookie jar I had purchased for 1/2 off at a craft store before Christmas.  I decorated a few to include some homemade chocolate chip cookies.  While I didn't include cookies this time, I did fill it with some Hershey's kisses.  It was so simple to decorate as I just cut three circles out of the paper packet - one for each side and another for the top.
Then, I incorporated a technique taught to me by one of my downline, Mary Collins.  She taught us how to Quill at my retreat in February.  The flowers were cut with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge - cut at 5", 3" and 2".  I used Liquid Glass to glue the flower to its' base and then to adhere it to the jar top.  The leaves were created by cutting 1/8 strips of paper, curled around the Quilling Tool, and then pinched on both ends to give them their shape.

The jar was a big hit with a few people fighting over it to take it home.  Now, I think I need my own so I will be creating another one sometime soon.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave a comment, if you will, and continue hopping over to Tonya's blog to see what she has in store for you.

Happy Hoppin'!

Close To My Heart New Product Blog Hop

I am thrilled to join a host of other Close To My Heart Consultants in showcasing many of our newest products which were just released on February 1st!  Check out my artwork provided below and then see the end of the post where you can find the link to other fabulous creations.  (Much thanks to Tresa Black for hosting this for us (and you)!)

I decided to decorate one of our Clear Pillow Boxes using the gorgeous new paper packet called "Ivy Lane".  The purple automatically drew my attention to this paper packet but it is much prettier in person than it is in the catalog (or even in this photo).  I see great potential with the color scheme.
I used Pear and Hollyhock ink pads for the stamped designs, incorporated some Kraft Cardstock and a little bit of Bronze Shimmer Trim.  The pink shredded paper adds a nice touch and I didn't fill this yet because I don't have the RIGHT chocolates to go with it.  (Yes, the chocolates have to match.)
I hope you enjoyed what I created and would love for you to leave a comment below.  A supply list is also provided just in case you are interested in purchasing some of these fabulous new products.
