I LOVE altering composition books for two reasons: 1) They are inexpensive items that can be altered for fabulous gifts! 2) They are purposeful! Who doesn't need a cute notebook?! I have a notebook for this...a notebook for that and yes, they are all different and designed specifically for their purpose. :) Yes, I have an addiction to notebooks but this one is a little bit different. It's MINIATURE! It is not as tiny as one that would fit in your purse (that have been on the market for quite some time). This one measures 5 1/2" x 8" and was just $0.97 in the school section at Wal-Mart. (My local WM does not carry them but one that I visited did. I need more of them!) You can tell the size of it based upon the length of the pen.
I used a 3" x 4" card that comes in the "Chalk It Up" Picture My Life kit as the focal point. The cute, retro strip going behind the star comes from the Zip Strip of the patterned paper from the Chalk It Up paper packet. I added some black cardstock and scalloped it on one edge to place behind the decorative Zip Strip. I added Liquid Glass to the star, from the Complements, for a glossy look. (That is difficult to tell from the photo.)
We do have a campaign going on this month called, "Picture Perfection", that is focused around Picture My Life so be sure to check that out in case you may be interested.
I would love to know what you think of this li'l notepad before you head over to Sheila's blog and see what she has up her sleeve! Thanks for stopping by!
Happy hoppin'!
