Heart 2 Heart Challenge - The Birds & The Bees

This week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge is themed "The Birds & The Bees".  Unsure what I was going to create along that theme, I decided to focus on some photos taken when some friends and I visited the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City in November.  Utah is called the "Beehive" State so...a perfect match!
I did use Studio J, Close To My Heart's Online Scrapbooking Program that is set to retire at the end of April.  I am sad to see it go so thought I would get some layouts done before I have to say goodbye for good.  This paper pack is a retired one called "Buzz & Bumble".  Fitting, don't you think?  You can click on the image for an enlarged view.

Consider joining us for this week's theme.  Be sure to use Close To My Heart products in your creation.  You can link up by following this link.

Have a great week!

Regatta or Mother's Day Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us today as we showcase product using the Regatta paper pack or artwork using a Mother's Day theme.

If you are coming from Melinda's Blog, you are on the right track.

This layout was created in celebration of last year's Mother's Day where my Mom and I joined for a weekend of scrapbooking fun.  Because I don't live near her, I do not get the opportunity to spend every Mother's Day with her so this one was a special treat as we spent time doing what we love.  And...she is joining me again this year!  YAY!
I created it through Studio J our soon-to-retire Online Scrapbooking Program that will be greatly missed.  I am taking advantage of it while it remains.

Thank you for stopping by and please head on over to Barbi's Blog to view her artwork.

Have an awesome week!

My Favorite CTMH Stamp Set Blog Hop

As you know, Stampaganza is taking place this month and that means you get a FREE stamp set when you buy two!  In celebrating this fabulous sale, we wanted to share some artwork with you that showcases our favorite stamp set(s).

If you are coming from Katy's Blog, you are on the right track!  There are just three of us in this hop so very easy to navigate but no shortage of fun!  :)

The stamp set I chose is "Friend in Me".  Believe it or not, I loved it when I first saw it but refrained from buying it for quite a while.  Then, we had access to it at Team Builders in Salt Lake City in January and I fell in love and placed it on my next order!  I LOVE the sentiments but I especially LOVE the flowers!
I actually random-stamped this 12" x 12" piece of White Daisy cardstock using Black Ink.  (I forgot to take a photo of it before I began coloring.)
I cut off a piece measuring 3 3/4" x 5", the Black cardstock is 4" x 5 1/2" (leaving a 1/4" border on all sides), and this was the result.  So fun and colorful!  (I did get inspiration for random-stamping with this stamp set from several photos I have seen online and had to do so myself.)  Not wanting to take away anything from the beautiful flowers, I kept the sentiment very simple.  I hope you love it!
Thank you so much for stopping by.  Feel free to leave a comment and then head on over to Cathy's Blog to see what she has in store for you.

Have a blessed day and don't forget to...Make It From Your Heart!

Featured Product Blog Hop - Complements

Hello and welcome to our CTMH Featured Products Blog hop.  This week our featured product is Complements.

If you have just joined us you can start here and continue on, as this is a circular hop.  If you get lost along the way you can start at the beginning with Lauren Moore.  She has the complete list of participants.  If you came here from Lauren's Blog you are in the right place.  Now on to my  project using the Charlotte Complements.

What are complements, you ask?  They are packages of accessories that include 2 - 6" x 6" Coordinating Sticker Sheets and Assorted Diecuts (some are chipboard and others are vellum).  They vary in the paper packs.  Click HERE to view the Complements that are available and for a detailed and enlarged visual of the contents, click on the product link on the website.
Sorbet, Whisper and Black cardstock were used, along with paper from the Charlotte paper pack, to create this uplifting card.  The Whisper heart pattern show on the banner came from a Zip Strip on the 12x12 paper.
Some Black & Gold Ribbon, Gold Foil Tape, and a cluster of the Complements finished off this card.  Oh yeah! I also used the Gold Metallic Marker to create a border on the piece of Black cardstock.  I felt it needed a little something and decided to go with it.
Thank you for checking out my project.  If you would like to purchase the featured product of the week or any additional supplies you can buy them here.  If you enjoyed my project please comment below as I love feedback!  Next on our hop is Catherine Nowak .  Make sure to check out her amazing work feature the same product.

Technique Blog Hop - Thin Cuts by CTMH

Welcome to our Blog Hop where we are featuring one of Close To My Heart's newest products, "Thin Cuts".   Thin Cuts are metal dies that can be used on your favorite die cut machine and the cuts coordinate with a stamp set, making it easy to stamp your images and incorporate them into your artwork.  No fussy-cutting needed!  Currently we have four themes of thin cuts as shown in the visual above.  (You can click on it for an enlarged view.)

If you are coming from Judy Faye's Blog, you are on the right track.  A complete list of participants is found below if you were to get lost along the way.  Now...let's get started!

I decided to use the "My Anchor" Thin Cuts for my card.  The various images and cute sentiments make this set simply adorable.
Here is the coordinating stamp set.  Isn't it CUTE?!
While an obvious nautical theme is thought of when looking at these images, I decided to head a different direction and made this card. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the simplicity of this card and hope you do too!
Three of the larger heart images and two smaller hearts were stamped and cut out, as was the banner, Some of them were 3-D for added dimension.  I used a ruler to draw faux stitches so I stayed in a straight line.  :)  Ink colors used:  Lagoon, Cotton Candy, Gypsy, Honey, Sunset, Pear and Black.

Thank you very much for stopping by.  Please consider leaving a comment before heading to Cat's Blog. She is truly a great artist and I know you will love what she has to share with you.

Happy hoppin'!
