Sweet Baby

I needed a card for a baby shower a couple of weeks ago and thought, "I don't have any baby stamps!"  But then I remembered that our Artfully Sent cartridge has some adorable baby cards and so this is what I came up with!

I cut the main piece out of Crystal Blue Cardstock.  I backed the "Sweet Baby" sentiment with Canary Cardstock and used the chevron pattern, in Canary, from the Paper Fundamentals pack.  The sentiment used came from a stamp set that comes with the Artfully Sent Cricut Collection, exclusive to Close To My Heart.  I added a bow tie from the Puffies (now retired) and took a Journaling Pen to outline the onesie.

Spring has Sprung with the Stampers with an Attitude!

I just love this time of the year, don't you?  The birds are singing and the sun is shining bright!  (And rain tends to show its face from time to time too and I am okay with that.)

This month we are highlighting some fun artwork that makes you smile at the thought of spring.  If you are coming from Sheila's Blog, you are on the right track.  You can find a list of participants by visiting Melinda's Blog.

I used our exclusive Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge, page 10, to create this Sleeve Card.  Buttons pushed were Sleeve > 0 at 6" (the default size).

In doing so, cut out of Kraft Cardstock, the piece looked as it does above.  Scoring along the two sides and gluing them to form the pocket, this sleeve was created.  I used scraps from the Brushed paper pack to glue on the inside, allowing them to peek through the "windows" as seen here.

I cut a piece of Colonial White cardstock to slip inside, ready for the message, and cut two circles out of Canary cardstock to stamp the bee. I then glued the circles back-to-back, sandwiching the Colonial White cardstock, to create the tab.

The sentiments stamped on the front of the card are from this stamp set, "Happy Everything".  It is our newest stamp set that supports Operation Smile where $3 of the $17.95 purchase price will be donated to Operation Smile.  It is a CUTE stamp set that I cannot wait to incorporate into more of my artwork!

Artfully Sent Blog Hop

There are almost 50 Close To My Heart Consultants participating in this hop.  If you are coming from Peachy's Blog, you are on the right track.

I had fun creating this card, literally, with a push of just a few buttons. I was amazed at how easy it came together. The most difficult thing was thinking about what bling I was going to use to pretty it up.

 I cut a separate piece of Outdoor Denim cardstock to lay on the left flap and cut the panel out of Sky cardstock. The deer was backed with Desert Sand cardstock.

Deciding it needed a little something, I cut two 1/8" strips out of our Silver Glitter paper and a circle to back the snowflake. Some Clear Sparkles, to add dimension to the snowflakes, and a red one for Rudolph's nose were perfect until...my husband decided he needed an eye. Lol I fixed that real quick with a bitty black Epoxy Bubble.

Stampers with an Attitude - Artfully Sent Blog Hop

You are going to have fun checking out some fun artwork showcasing the NEW Cricut cartridge, exclusive to Close To My Heart, called "Artfully Sent".

There are so many options for this cartridge and while it is card-focused, and I have used it for that, you will find it can be used on all types of projects.

Our Paper Fundamentals paper was used to create this card, both inside and out, offering nice patterns and texture with no effort by me. The Cricut cut out the sunburst and sentiment and cardstock was simply placed behind Hello and Sunshine to give off a different color.  Super simple! A few gold sequins and some Teal Shimmer Trim were also used.

For the inside, it was lined with this cute heart pattern and the phone, as well as the word bubble, was cut using the cartridge. A circle of white cardstock was placed behind the dialer to create the look of a true phone and some color behind the word "hi".

Hello Sunshine - Cut with "Artfully Sent"

Hello, Sunshine!  That's a perfect segway into this blog post based upon the sentiment on this card, don't you think?  I hope you are waking up and ready to experience a wonderful Friday wherever you are!  I am!

This card was cut from our BRAND NEW and EXCLUSIVE Cricut Cartridge, Artfully Sent, which debuted last week.  We made this card at Convention this summer and it was so easy to put together!

The card front was cut by the Cricut.  Then, we first adhered a piece of Glacier cardstock to the back of "hello".  Then, an entire sheet of Canary cardstock was glued inside the card in order to bring color to the sunbursts and the word "sunshine".  It also served as a card "liner" and covered up the cuts from showing on the inside of the card.  Simple, right?  Then, a few stamped images, some Gold Shimmer Trim and some Gold Sequins and this card came together in no time!  Cardmaking has never been easier, not to mention they are CUTE CARDS!
