This card was fun and simple to make, using this month's Stamp of the Month (and my favorite - you'll see many more posts this month that include it) "Ice Cream Dream".
I used our Spray Pen, with some water and several drops of Pear Re-Inker, to spritz the background for some added texture. Lagoon ink was used to stamp the brushstroke, an image from a stamp set called "Brushstrokes". The sentiment was stamped in Black ink and is from the set included with the Brushed Workshop on the Go Scrapbooking Kit (I love this stamp set too).
Of course I used some our ShinHan Markers to color in the image and included a few Oceanside Sequins. The edge of the card front is distressed, using a Sponge Dauber, and Lagoon ink.
I truly do wish you a day full of fun!

Hostess Exclusive Stamp Sets - Blog Hop
Welcome to our Blog Hop! If you have arrived here from Tonya's Blog, you are on the right track. I am the start of the hop but you will find a complete list of participants at the bottom of the post, should you get lost along the way.
Close to My Heart offers three stamp sets that are exclusive to Hostesses and they are so fun that we wanted to be sure you are aware of them. To earn them all you have to do is to reach $150 in purchases - either by yourself or gather a few friends to place an order - and when you do so, you can get either, or all three, for a phenomenal price!
For example, I am using this Paper Birds stamp set that has a retail value of $13.95 and you can redeem just $8 of your hostess rewards money to get it! (Contact me for any questions you may have.)
Thanks for stopping by and head on over to Marianne's Blog to see what artwork she has in store for you.
Happy hoppin'!

This is the card I created! I incorporate the heart image and the smile sentiment.
For the texture on the background I used the "Brushstrokes" stamp set. I used the bottom, left image and stamped it separately, three times, in Lagoon, Cotton Candy and Pixie inks.
I did use a Journaling Pen for the doodling around the edge of the Pixie cardstock.

Happy Birthday!
Saturday was my hubby's birthday and we had fun celebrating over the last few days. Of course, being an avid football fan, his birthday always falls right around the Super Bowl so that just adds to the fun! And...my niece, Alyzae, celebrated her birthday yesterday. Hard to believe how much time has passed since she was born. Love that little girl!
This is a fun birthday card I made using the Brushstrokes stamp set. I loved it when I saw it in the catalog but really wondered how it would look when stamped. Well, now I know and I love it! It comes out so nice that one of my customers thought I had done them by hand. Um...I'm not THAT good! LOL
Attempting to make this more masculine, I stamped in the following colors: Topiary, Smokey Plum, Cranberry, Dutch Blue and Outdoor Denim. This card design would be great with any sentiment and with many combinations of colors. I'm thinking this stamp set is going to get some good use from me. I hope you love it as much as I do! (The design idea came from Close To My Heart's, Make It from Your Heart Blog.)
Make it a great week!
