Confetti Wishes Birthday Cards

Had a workshop last night where I taught these four fun cards!  The ladies who joined me loved them!  Aren't they too fun?!
The Confetti Wishes paper packet and color scheme were included as well as several stamp sets I will list at the end of this post.
We also incorporated three of our Embossing Folders - Heart, Diamond and Chevron - to create backgrounds for them.

Stamp Sets Used:
D1618 Build-a-Cake
B1464 Puppy Party
B1464 Lovely Birthday

We are expecting another wave of cold and wintery weather here in the Dallas area so I guess it will be a good excuse to stay inside tomorrow!

The original designs came from Christine Adams and she allowed me to scraplift them.  :)

Have a Lovely Day!

Yeah...so you can tell I have moved past the winter colors real fast and am ready for Spring!  LOL  Unfortunately, or fortunately (as long as I can stay inside to enjoy the snow and ice), the weather is not aligning with me!  Oh well...these kind of cold weather days give me a good excuse to stay inside and papercraft!  That is what I plan on doing this weekend!

I used the Confetti Wishes paper packet - the colors are just fun and cheery - and this stamp, "Lovely Birthday", to create this card.  I used a pattern from the Make It From Your Heart How-to Program for the design.
The flowers and leaves were colored with the ShinHan markers and 3-D on the front of the card.  Some clear sparkles added the perfect finishing touch to the card.
I hope you like it and...have a lovely day!  (Happy Friday!)

It's Your Day Treat Purse

My friend, Aggie, taught me how to make this fun purse from a miniature lunch sack.  It was totally fun!  I made it as one of the Secret Santa gifts I mailed out this Christmas season.  It was filled with chocolate, of course.
It was decorated with the Confetti Wishes paper.  While I didn't bling it up at all, it was full of happy colors!
I LOVE making gifts to make people smile.  That's why Close To My  Heart was perfect for me 16+ years ago and still is!

Directions:

  1. Cut small lunch bag 4 3/8" from BOTTOM.
  2. Cut two pieces of coordinating cardstock at 5 3/4" x 3 5/8" and 4 7/16" x 3 5/8".
  3. Score the longer piece at 4 1/2".  This piece becomes the back piece that folds over to make the closure.
  4. Glue cardstock pieces to front and back of bag and decorate as desired.
  5. Fill with your treat of choice!

December SOTM Blog Hop - Cutie Pie

Welcome to our Blog Hop featuring "Cutie Pie", Close To My Heart's December Stamp of the Month.  There are over 60 of us participating so you are bound to see some inspirational creations.
If you are coming from Justine's Blog, you are on the right track.  A complete listing of participants can be found here if you were to get lost along the way.

I been really productive here recently, creating quite a few layouts - photos and journaling to come later (when I find the photos I want - lol) and am excited to share one of them with you today!  I created this layout using the Magic how-to book, "Mesmerize", which is found on page 34.
I incorporated the fun stickease from the Confetti Wishes Complements to create "clusters" using the fun cupcake images from the stamp set.  The "hey there, cupcake" saying made for the perfect title for this layout.
I colored the image using three Shin Han Markers - Carmine (red), Turquoise Blue, and Golden Yellow.  I LOVE 3-D Foam Tape which always allows me to add some dimension to my embellishments.  That simple addition gives any creation the perfect touch, really "popping" the items.
Here is a close-up of the right side of the layout, again with a fun cluster.
Because I was without my Peony Purple Marker at the time, I took out my Thistle ink pad and Blending Pen to color in the holder of the cupcake.  It works, right?!  :)  Flexibility is my thing!
I have created several other fun items using this stamp set that I will be showcasing over the month.  It's too yummy to pass up - oh, and perfect for your papercrafting projects, too!  This stamp set can be yours for just $5 with a qualifying order.

Please consider leaving a comment and then head on over to Michelle's Blog.  She always has such fun creations!

Happy hoppin'!

Happy Card

Using the Confetti Wishes paper packet and some of the Lagoon Hearts Washi Tape, I created this card inspired by CTMH.  (It was one of our Convention projects.)  The Washi Tape creates the bottom border of the card.  Too cute, right?
We used the Happy Birds stamp set to create the focal point, coloring in the images with our ShinHan Markers.
It is a fun and happy card and I hope it makes you smile!

CTMH New Product Blog Hop Fall 2014

Thank you for joining us for this Blog Hop.  There are 54 Close To My Heart Consultants participating this month!  That means 54 pieces of artwork inspiration JUST FOR YOU, showcasing our BRAND NEW PRODUCTS!

If you are arriving here from Gina Brandstetter's Blog, you are on the right track.  You can always begin the hop from the start by visiting Adeline Brill's Blog which contains a full list of participants.

This FUN paper packet is called, "Confetti Wishes".  It is perfect for birthday-themed projects but also has some cute patterned paper that offers versatility.
This paper is CA-UTE and so fun and colorful!  It definitely lends itself to boy and girl birthdays.
I used Silver Shimmer Trim to separate the patterned paper from the Thistle cardstock piece.  Using the "It's Your Day" sentiment from the "You Mean the World to Me" stamp set, I stamped it in Slate.
Then I took a piece of White Daisy Cardstock and covered it with our CUTE and NEW Lagoon Hearts Washi Tape, cutting a dovetail after doing so.  Another dovetail strip of Canary cardstockthree Purple Glitter Gems and I was pleased with this card!  It is so fun and cheery!
Let me know what you think of this card by leaving a comment below and then head on over to Michelle Battitori's Blog to see what awesome artwork she has in store for you.

Thank you for stopping by and happy hoppin'!
