Legendary Father's Day/Let's Stay Home Blog Hop

Welcome to this Blog Hop where I, and other Close To My Heart Consultants, are sharing artwork from two different and exclusive specials. We've got fun creations to show you made with "Legendary Father's Day" and "Let's Stay Home" stamp sets!

If you are coming from Melinda's Blog, you are on the right track. You can find a complete list of participants by clicking here

These first two stamp sets include perfect images for a Father in your life - Dad, son, nephew, etc. You can purchase them separately or save some money when you buy them together. Follow this link for more details about "Legendary Father's Day".

With Covid-19 having greatly impacted our lives in recent months, Close To My Heart stepped up to create some exclusive stamp sets reflective of this time. Some of them provide a bit of much-needed humor. ðŸ˜† AND...if you'll follow this link to find out more, you will also discover there are some FREE SVG files that relate and are available for download. Use these images to preserve your memories or make handmade cards.

You find these "Let's Stay Home" stamp sets by following this link to my website.

Alright...so let's get to the FUN I created, shall we?

Here is the Father's Day card I created and I am very pleased with it. I will explain a bit about what I did so please keep reading.

Because I did not feel like I had pattern paper to coordinate with this theme, I decided to create some of my own. By using the shoes, stamped in Toffee ink, I randomly stamped them on my card front. Cool, right?

I pulled this color combination of Lagoon, Sapphire, Toffee and Linen from one of our How-To Books called, "Love of Color". It features artwork through balanced color combinations, usually many of which I would not think of on my own.

On the Sapphire cardstock, I distressed some lines I made while using an embossing tool. The shirt was colored with alcohol markers and the ink on the lid of a stamp pad, with a Waterbrush Pen. Some dimension and additional elements were added to finish the card.

I know you will have fun making you away around to see the other artwork so head on over to Heather's Blog to see what she has to share with you. I appreciate you stopping by and hope you'll leave a comment before you head over.

Wishing you a great start to an enjoyable weekend!
