CTMH Technique Blog Hop - In Love with Vellum

Thank you so much for joining me and some fellow Close To My Heart Consultants for "In Love with Vellum". While CTMH wasn't carrying vellum for several years, did you know it's back?! It is and it's of a great quality - a thicker texture - which makes it easy to work with while including it in your artwork. In fact, you are bound to find some fun ways in which we have used it so be sure to continue through this hop.

If you are coming from Danielle's Blog, you are on the right track. You can find a complete list of participants at the bottom of this post, if you were to get lost along the way.
There are many different things to do with vellum although I kept my use of it pretty simple for this card. I used the Archival Black ink pad - the ink we carry that is perfect for vellum because it dries completely with no opportunity to smear once it does. That's a huge plus as not all inks do the same.
Because I did not want any adhesive to show through the back of my stamped image, but instead wanted the pattered paper to be exposed, I put a little bit where the "extra" banner is stamped and behind the piece of faux washi tape made from a small piece of White Glitter Paper. Doing so was enough to hold the vellum in place. For a few finishing touches, I added a heart out of Bashful Glitter Paper, a few Gold Glitter Gems, and some White Twine.
Not only am I in love with vellum, I also love the stamp I used on it, "Notes of Inspiration". It's pretty inspirational, if you ask me!

Consider leaving a comment before you had over to Haley's Blog to see what she and the other Blog Hop participants have created to share with you. We appreciate you stopping by!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Resolutions - Blog with Friends

Sometimes we all need some inspiration and what better what to provide it than through some happy mail that arrives in a mailbox? You know our mailboxes tend to get overloaded with not-so-fun stuff and these handmade greeting cards are sure to brighten someone's day!
I'm thrilled this post is being shared in conjunction with my "Blog with Friends" Group. They are each highlighting some fun topics associated with the theme, "Resolutions", perfect for this time of the year. When you are done reading my message, you'll find their links listed below. Be sure to check them out!
Investing in others doesn't have to cost much and when you make a handmade card like these, you also give a bit of your heart. I don't receive much happy mail but I do enjoy it when I do. However, I have the opportunity to give or mail cards for any occasion I choose - or none at all - and try to do so often. It is a goal of mine to send more out in 2018. (To get on my mailing list, join my VIP group. That's the best way for me to obtain your contact information and get to know you better!)

Here are photos of each of the other two cards I will be teaching in a card class in February. You get the sneak peek! (You can participate in person or virtually. Contact me with interest or questions.)

I had fun creating these greetings cards with the same color scheme and hope you like the results.
These are the images used and contained in the "Notes of Inspiration" stamp set. I love them and they are perfect for inspiring others or giving them a little encouragement which is often needed.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Leave a comment and let me know which card or sentiments if your favorite. Then check out these topics on my friend's posts:
Enjoy your week!
