Everything is Better with a Friend

I seldom come up with any card or scrapbook designs from scratch so am thankful there are various resources from which to be inspired.  Today I used this sketch from CASE(S) this Sketch #111 to create my card.
I made this card for my Secret Sister for this past weekend's retreat.  Her favorite paper packet is Heartstrings so I decided to incorporate it, totally leaning away from it being Valentine related.  I think I was successful!  ;)
I used our Dot Embossing Folder, on Hollyhock cardstock, and then distressed it to expose some of the white core.  I layered it onto a slightly larger piece of White Daisy cardstock to allow for the border, needing to set it off a bit from the patterned B&T.

It is kind of hard to tell but I did paper piece several things in the stamped shopping girl image.  The dress, polka dot and animal print gift bags were all paper pieced.  The remaining items were colored in with our ShinHan markers.  Doesn't it look great?!  (I am a little proud of myself as the paper piecing truly seems almost seamless unless you were to run your finger over it.)
This stamp set, "Everything is Better with a Friend" is only available through March 31, 2015 and is only exclusive to hostesses.  You can get it by hosting a physical or online Gathering or by placing a $150 order.  (Contact me with questions.)  It is definitely one of my favorites!

If you are "off" today because of cold weather in your area, it is a great excuse to get out your papercrafting products!  :)  Have a blessed day!

Small Gifts Go Great in Pillow Boxes!

Ever need a fun way to package a smaller gift?  Our My Creations Pillow Boxes are perfect for just that!
I took a 3" x 4" card from the Picture My Life Heartstrings Scrapbooking Program and glued it to the front of the pillow box.  A little bit of  Clear Sparkles, colored with a Shin Han Marker, some Teal and Silver Shimmer Trim and my decorated gift container was complete!
Gotta love when something cute can come together so inexpensively and quickly!

Make it a FABULOUS Friday!

Show Your Love - Valentine Blog Hop

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, we wanted to take a few minutes to showcase some fabulous artwork creations, using Close To My Heart products.  They'll make your gift-giving quick, easy, and inexpensive - and CUTE!

If you are coming from Aggie's Blog, you are on the right track.  A list of participants is found at the end of this post.

Picture My Life cards are so versatile.  I choose to use one as the focal point on this hand-designed gift bag, perfect for that special gift.  Paired with some Black and Lagoon cardstock, as well as some Lagoon Hearts Washi Tape, it didn't take much to cutesy up this red bag that started out plain.
I added some Teal and Silver Shimmer Trim and Stuck On You Puffies for some added detail.  (Despite my efforts to get a great picture, it looks totally fab in person!)
The Heartstrings PML line is absolutely stunning and can be used for various artwork creations.  (I've made cards, treat items, layouts and gift bags with them.) They are too fun and you can't beat their phenomenal price!  If you have not tried them, you will definitely want to add them to your next order.
Head on over to Melissa David's Blog to see what she has up her sleeve, but feel free to leave a comment before doing so.

Here is a list of the participants and links to their sites, should you get lost along the way:

Heartstrings Thank You Card

We did a secret Santa exchange among my CTMH team members over the holidays, through my "Heartfelt Sentiments" Team, and this is one of the fun cards I received from my downline, Debi.  Isn't it cute?
She used the Heartstrings paper packet and coordinating cardstock.  Love the colors and the texture, from the embossing folder, is a fabulous touch.  I love it and had to share it with you!

Winter has arrived in north Texas!  Great reason to stay inside this weekend...to papercraft!  I usually don't need a reason but I'll take it; just makes the most sense!  ha/ha

Happy Thursday!

Seasonal Expressions Blog Hop

Today we are highlighting some of Close To My Heart's New Products contained in the recently released (December 1st) Seasonal Expressions - Volume 1.  There are two new paper packets featured and a lot of coordinating embellishments and other goodies you are sure to love!  If you are  coming from Melissa David's Blog, you are on the right track.  (Participants names are provided at the bottom of the post if you were to get lost along the way.)

The card I made was created with our new paper packet called "Heartstrings".  Of course it is perfect for Valentine's Day but I have already seen various artwork pieces that allow it to work for other occasions.
I did tie in some of the sweet treats from my favorite holiday and incorporated the stamp set, "Love This Story".  It is a Hostess Exclusive stamp set which means you can only get it when redeeming just $6 of your FREE Hostess Rewards.  (Contact me or your CTMH Consultant for more details.)  I LOVE the saying I chose to use but others are included:  "Hello World", "So Love This Story", and "Best Day Ever".  All of the images are banners and can be seen on page 5 of the supplemental idea book.  Click HERE to view the online version.  (Psst...any order placed can include a FREE copy of the Idea Book and Seasonal Expressions.  They are a lot better to view in person, if I do so say so myself.)
This cute cupcake comes from our December Stamp of the Month, "Cutie Pie", which can be yours for just $5 - with a qualifying order of just $50 - through December 30th.   And I couldn't resist incorporating some Silver and Red Shimmer Trim.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by today.  I hope you love what you see above and would appreciate any comments you have before heading over to Debi's Blog where I am sure you will find something totally fun!

Happy hoppin'!
