"Christmas In July" Blog Hop

Welcome to our "Christmas in July" Blog Hop where participants are showcasing artwork using currently available products, from Close To My Heart, to celebrate the Christmas holiday during these hot summer months.

It is perfect for aligning with the return of "White Pines", a previously retired collection that can help you get a headstart on your Christmas papercrafting projects.

PLUS, a new special called "Holiday Stories", is the perfect mini album for new or past Christmas memories.

If you are coming from Wendy's Blog, you are on the right track. You can find a complete list of participants here.

I used the Holly Jolly Paper Packet to create my card and kept the design relatively simple with the festive colors and paper.

The Thin Cut and stamped images, to include the sentiment, are all from the Comfort & Joy - Scrapbooking Stamp + Thin Cuts Set (Z3772). I love the beautiful poinsettia that can be created and I decided to toss in a little bit of Scarlet Glitter Paper (Z3839)

Here is a close-up of the focal point. To add a bit of glitz, I added a Gold Glitter Gem (Z3312) and Gold Embellishing Thread (retired).

Ink colors used: Almond, Candy Apple, Clover, Black

I hope you like what I have shared with you! It is time for you to go see what Brenda has created on her blog. Have fun on our Blog Hop! I hope you are inspired!

"Season to Sparkle" CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Thank you so much for joining us for this month's Technique Blog Hop titled, "Season to Sparkle". I hope this holiday season finds you in a sparkly mood, truly enjoying the reason behind this holiday.

If you are coming from Miss Carrie's Creations, you are on the right track. You can find a complete list of participants at the bottom of this post.

I've in the card-making spirit for over a week and have a few more I want to make before the end of tomorrow. However, I could't resist making a fun, yet simple gift tag.

I did use the Holly Jolly paper packet for the festive Christmas colors.

To add some sparkle, I used Shimmer Trim and Stickles, highlighting Santa's pompon and the berries on his hat. A red gem was used for his nose. I love the little additions that make for a CUTE tag!

Thank you very much for stopping by. Please head over to Cat's Blog to see what she has to share with you and then continue to make your way around the Blog Hop. We love when you leave comments, too, so consider doing so! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
