Thin Cuts Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Blog Hop where are featuring Close To My Heart's Thin Cuts. This is their line of "dies" which are of super quality. Participants can choose any current set in which to work so it will be fun to see what they create to share!

They are metal dies cut to shapes which coordinate with their respective stamp set and are packaged on their own magnetic sheet. They work well with most die-cutting machines. I use the Cuttlebug.

If you are coming from Cat's Blog, you are on the right track. You can find a complete list of participants here.

This super cute stamp set and coordinating Thin Cuts, "Cruisin' to Adventure", totally caught my attention at my first glance of the Seasonal Expressions I Idea Book. But then I thought, "What do I need it for? I don't have any boys..."

And then...I saw some super cute artwork created with it, realized it could be used for a variety of occasions and here we are today! LOL It's obviously the one I have chosen to use but we've got plenty more so be sure to make your way around the Blog Hop and see what other fun stuff we have to share with you!

The simplicity of this card design, from our How-To Books, was spiced up with just a few added elements. I pulled paper in from the "I Heart Us" packet. I LOVE the bright and bold colors and the scallop border was totally cut from one of the pieces of patterned paper.

Then, I decided to incorporate some of the images from the cut-apart sheet in the "Something Fierce" paper packet. (Remember...you think it can only be used for dinosaur-themed item... Nope! You are wrong!) The sun was cut from our Circle Thin Cuts.

I couldn't resist adding a few red dots that I had from a previous project. The car was stamped in Carolina ink and then I used a Journaling Pen to color in the black areas on the car. Isn't it cute?! I can totally see my Dad loving this card (but don't tell him, Mom, because he's not getting it very soon). LOL

Now, head on over to Melinda's Blog to see what fun artwork she has created to share with you and be sure to continue to make your way around the hop.

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy hoppin'!

Something Fierce yet, Cute!

"Something Fierce" is the name one of the new paper suite released from Close To My Heart and it is being highlighted this month. Its fun patterns and bright colors are great for different types of papercrafting products.
To view the different products that coordinate with the paper packet, visit this area of my website

This would make a cheerful card for a child's birthday or for wishing them a great day. While there are dinosaur images throughout this product line, there is the opportunity to draw attention otherwise. For example...

This birthday card was made with the same product line. You can see how it does provide for versatility. In fact, I have made and shared a few cards this month where I have incorporated the Something Fierce paper packet.
This is the stamp set, "Years of Sweetness", I have used on the card above. The different images, are great for celebrating someone's birthday. (Don't know what that bottom image is? It's a layered cake! Can you tell there are two cake layers and then the frosting on the top and side of the cake?! I need to make a card with that image so you know what I am referring to.)

If you are wondering what the pink outlined shapes are. That indicates there are coordinating Cricut images, cut from one of our Cricut Collections, that are perfect for stamping on. These images are pulled from Artbooking

Here is one last artwork sample I am sharing with you today. I love this layout that can be used for birthday or other celebratory occasions.

Those half circles...don't they add the perfect pop of color?! I think this layout is adorable! (Click on the image for an enlarged view.)

To view additional details about the Something Fierce products, view the digital Idea Book (aka catalog) or this area of my website. I'm always willing to answer your questions!

Have a blessed day!

"Card Captions" - January Stamp of the Month

HAPPY NEW YEAR and welcome to the first Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for 2019!

Today, I am thrilled to welcome in our NEW Seasonal Expressions Idea Book which contains tons of new stamp sets, paper packets, and more! While you might await a hard copy, you can view the Online Idea Book by clicking on the link provided. You can get a FREE copy of it when you place your first order through your Consultant's website. (Don't have a Consultant? I'd love to be yours.)

This month's Stamp of the Month is called "Card Captions" and contains 26 stamp images, some which can be combined as desired to provide for that perfect sentiment. I love that different fonts were incorporated into the set.

If you are coming from Terry's Blog, you are on the right track. You can find a complete list of participants by clicking here.

While I worked to focus on the stamp images of this set, I couldn't help but throw in the beautiful floral image from the I Heart Us - Cardmaking stamp set (shown below).

The sentiment and heart images are stamped in Heather ink, with the flower images colored with our Watercolor Pencils. I did cut a tag from Ballerina cardstock using the Fancy Tags - Thin Cuts, with my Cuttlebug.

I used some White Ribbon for the bow. I love this ribbon since you can ink it up and make it any color of your choice.
The Ballerina-striped patterned paper is from the Something Fierce paper packet

Thanks so much for stopping by on this first day of the new year!

Please head over to Cat's Blog to see what she has to share with you.

I look forward to sharing my love or Close To My Heart with you in 2019! Make it a blessed day and year!
