Creative Cards - H2H Creative Challenge

Welcome to our "Creative Cards" Challenge with Heart 2 Heart!

To participate, create and share a card that is anything BUT a standard, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", size card. Be sure to incorporate Close To My Heart products in your creation! You have until the end of the month to link up so considering joining us!

This 5" x 7" card front was kept relatively simple to draw attention to the friendship sentiment.

The I Heart Us - cardmaking stamp set was used. It was fun stamping the "beautiful" image in Lagoon ink, cutting it out and then 3-Ding, to add dimension.

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Tea-rrific

I had fun creating 16 cards with this stamp set. (They are showcased here.) The images and sentiments are perfect for Mother's day, as well as for celebrating friendships or love for others. 

To color in the teacup image, I used our ShinHan markers and blended them to create the desired hues - Tangerine, Seaglass, Smoothie and Whisper. They coordinate with the stamped images created on the floral pattern which is handmade. 

I love adding the White Dots - which can be colored with the ShinHan Makers. I love being able to do so (although I left them white here). 

I know I will be using this stamp set all month long to create some fun artwork. Now head on over to Melinda's Blog, where you are sure to be inspired.

Heart 2 Heart Challenge - Season of White

This week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge is titled, "Season of White". We got some snowfall here in the Dallas area which made for some pretty, but very treacherous roads due to the freezing temperatures. I will say it was good to see it but I would have been okay with the after-effects. LOL The great thing about it...it was a good reason to stay inside and papercraft all weekend.

I love the cleanliness of this card created by adding just a few things. I did add a piece of white cardstock on top of the white card base to provide for some added dimension. It may not be reflected in a quality way in this photo.

The sentiment comes from the stamp set, "Good Thymes", and was stamped in Black ink. I cut the bow from the Artiste Cricut Collection (now retired) and then added some glitter gems from our new Sugar Rush Dots bag of embellishments. 

The center of the bow, although difficult to tell, is a gold sticker that came from this month's campaign, Welcome Home Wreath.
