Just living isn't enough...

This is a fabulous quote from Hans Christian Andersen, "Just living is not enough...one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower."  So I thought it was perfectly fitting to incorporate this fun flower image from the "Girls Rock" stamp set.  (It is one I have used several times in recent posts.)  It's just plain fun!
One of the paper patterns I like from the Claire paper packet, and you would never believe it, is the denim-like one where the flower is situated.  I just like its' appeal when I pair it with Outdoor Denim cardstock.  These colors were fun to work with.

I hope you can enjoy some spring-like weather in your neck of the woods today.  Have a beautiful Saturday!

Follow your dreams...

I have returned from a fabulous trip to Albuquerque with my family. I had a wonderful time spending two days with my parents, sister and niece.
Me with my sister and niece.
Switching gears for a moment, I thought I would create something other than cards during this creative spree I am on.
I dug out one of my favorite products, our Milk Cartons!  Who ever thought a milk carton could be so cute?!  These cartons are 5.5" tall and perfect for your choice of treats.
I used nothing other than the "Girl's Rock" stamp set and our Claire paper packet.  Add a pink sparkle...and it is ready for someone special!
Enjoying the weekend before returning to work after Spring Break,

Celebrate Today

I was asked to make a few cards for someone special and got to work one evening last week.  Here is one of the cards I created.  Gotta love a simple but sweet card!  I used our new Claire paper packet and the Casual Expressions Occasions stamp set.
I only used cardstock, background & texture paper and one color of ink pad (Outdoor Denim) to create it.  The little heart-like border is part of the zip strip cut from the top of the 12x12 piece of background & texture paper.  (If you click on the image below, you will see the strip that I am talking about.)  It is nice that you can use it rather than have to throw it away.  On the opposite side of the decorated piece, the colors used in the paper packet are listed there for quick reference.  Don't you love that?!
I had fun creating this card and hope the recipient can put it to good use for someone special.

Celebrating everyday,

Be Still...

I was thrilled to see this stamp image available in the New Idea Book.  This scripture, "Be still and know that I am God" is one of my favorites.  It is part of Psalm 46:10.
One of the things I am thankful for, in my deepened relationship with the Lord, is knowing that He's "got my back".  He is truly the only one you can truly trust and I find complete comfort in knowing that.

I had fun creating these cards for some friends who have recently experienced the passing of their loved ones.  Nobody can provide comfort during such difficult times like our Father.

Both cards were created using our NEW Claire paper packet.  It has some fun patterns in the paper packet.
In fact, both were made using our "Make It From Your Heart" publication and I just made some minor adjustments.
The main patterned paper I used was simply reversed on the two cards.  That is one of the fun qualities of our paper.  I only added Hollyhock brads on the left card and on the right card...I chose to bling it up a bit.
I used our Pink Glitz Glitter Gel to put some "sparkle" on the wording and used light pink Sparkles to bling up the Zip Strip buttons.  With just a few simple changes, the cards take on a different look.

I hope these are enjoyed by the persons who receive them and that you experience some creative inspiration.

Lovin' the new products!
