Heart 2 Heart "Multi-Dimensional Magic" Challenge

How about joining us for an artwork challenge based around the theme of "Multi-Dimensional Magic"? At Heart 2 Heart that is what we are doing this week with challenges lasting all month long. Consider joining the fun and be sure to incorporate Close To My Heart product in your creation.

I was excited to see Star and Heart Shaker Card Thin Cuts in the NEW Idea Book and enjoyed making this simple card the other night. I cut out confetti from the Thin Cuts and tossed in some Silver Star Confetti as well.

The patterned paper is from our fun and NEW "Party Time" paper collection and I could not resist incorporating the beautiful (and NEW) Sapphire Glitter Paper to finish off the shaker. In fact, we have several new colors that are absolutely gorgeous and a must-have. Check out those color choices by clicking here. Which is your favorite?

Create your artwork and then head over to Heart 2 Heart and link up to our Blog. We love to see your creations!

Happy creating!

"Paper-Layering" CTMH Technique Blog Hop

If you are coming from Kim Loewen's Blog, you are on the right track. You can find a complete list of participants at the bottom of this post.

I was experiencing a bit with this card and figured it was a great example of some paper-layering. I loved making the snowman appear to be in a snow globe, with presents surrounding it. The shaker part (aka snow globe) is layered so the sequins can move and then the dimension provided with the gifts was enhanced with the 3-D bows.

This card is just a fun and merry Christmas greeting. I hope you agree !

Go check out what Katy Taylor has to share with you on her blog. I'm sure you'll love it!

Thank you very much for stopping by! Be sure to leave a comment as I/we love blog love! Enjoy your weekend!

Shake It Up - Heart 2 Heart Challenge

Welcome to this week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge, "Shake It Up!". You can interpret the theme as a shaker card or feel free to step outside the box and do otherwise. I love it when people do so.

To participate in this challenge, visit the Heart 2 Heart Blog and connect your artwork with the link at the bottom of the related post. Be sure to incorporate some Close To My Heart products in your creation.

With the artwork I am sharing today, I am showcasing a card I totally CASEd (aka Copied and Stole Everything) from the Close To My Heart Idea Book.

This adorable Hedgehug stamp set totally got my attention, as did the card, when I first saw it. I couldn't help but recreate it. THIS STAMP SET RETIRES ON DECEMBER 31ST! GET IT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!

I especially enjoyed making my own confetti that was easy to create using the Thin Cuts - Shaker Window & Confetti die cuts.

Shaker cards are totally fun and I'm looking forward to creating more! It helps that it's made super easy with the products we have available to support them!

Let's see how you "Shake It Up" this week, and through the end of this month. Head on over to Heart 2 Heart and join the challenge! I look forward to seeing you there!

Shake Things Up! - CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Technique Blog Hop where we are "Shaking Things Up" with our artwork. Participants can make shaker cards OR interpret the theme any way they see fit.

If you are coming from Jayma's Blog, you are on the right track. We are one big circle and you can keep following the links to see the rest of the artwork. A complete list of participants is provided at the bottom of this post, if you were to get lost along the way.

I am head over heels in love with Shaker Cards so that is the direction I decided to head with this Blog Hop. I just couldn't resist using the related products to create a Christmas card. I hope you love it as much as I do!
Using the Christmas Blessings exclusive stamp set, only available through the end of December, this card will be super fun for someone to receive in their mailbox next month.

The patterned paper, as well as the Zip Strip, is from the 'Tis of Season paper packet. Fern cardstock was used as the main background with "Rejoice" stamped in Candy Apple ink.
I love the ease of creating the Shaker card pieces using the related Thin Cuts. Gold Sequins, and hearts cut from Red Glitter Paper, make this card super fun!

With the Shaker Window & Confetti Thin Cuts, fun can be customized to fit any occasion.

Click on this brief video to show the Shaker Card in action.

Now head on over to Haley's Blog to see what she has up her sleeve to share with you. You are bound to find some fun artwork as you continue to make your way around the Hop.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
