"Ice Cream" - Blog with Friends

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful and enjoyable weekend and are ready to join me and some of my blogging friends for some wonderful topics associated with "Ice Cream". That's our theme this month for "Blog with Friends".

Be sure to read to the bottom of this post and access my friends' content. Of course, we all appreciate blog love so please consider leaving a message when you visit.

So I decided to step outside the box a bit as you notice my creation has nothing to do with ice cream. Or does it? Okay, okay. Truth be told, I saw a little bit of rainbow ice cream in the way this chameleon is colored so I figured that worked and besides, I wanted to show you this fun creation!

This is a fun treat that is perfect for anyone! Need something to welcome a new neighbor? How 'bout a new co-worker? What about a well wish for the new school year, for a student or a teacher? No matter who they are created for, no doubt they'll put some happy on the face of the recipient.

To easily and quickly color the images, I used Sponge Daubers. By using one Dauber for each color, I patted them in various ink colors. Then, I "smeared" them over the chameleons, repeatedly, until I had the desired look. Tip: Know that the ink takes a few minutes to soak into the paper, leaving this awesome and vibrant look, don't you just love it?

And let's talk about LOVE! I love this Wild & Punny stamp set. The images and sentiments are so adorable and always make me crack up when I read them! It is only available through the end of this month, while supplies last. That's right! They are retiring SOON! Be sure to get this stamp set, and other retiring products, before they are gone!

These are the dimensions for recreating these tasty treats, which contain four Hershey Kisses. AND, you can use the flavor you like so you can eat the leftovers. Okay, so maybe that's not the best advice. LOL (By the way, there are Cookies 'n Cream kisses, another flavor of ice cream and one of my absolute favorites!)

I did teach this in my VIP Group this past Saturday. If you would enjoy being a member of that group where I share fun stuff, contact me directly or you can request to JOIN HERE. I would love to have you!

Now it's time to move onto my "Blog with Friends" posts. Be sure to check them out for some great and tasty information. You'll be glad you did!

Make this week a great one!

Anything Goes: Heart 2 Heart Challenge

Welcome to this week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge where our theme is "Anything Goes". That's right! You can create anything you want and link up to our Challenge as long as you incorporate at least some Close To My Heart products in your creation! Let us see what you have to share!

For a retreat a couple of months ago, I created this handmade sanitizer holder for my guests. If you know me well you know I'm seldom caught without it! ;)

I found the directions on this blog and found they were super easy to assemble once I made the first one. It uses little paper and NO scissors nor adhesive. Isn't that great?! Plus, it becomes a cost-effective treat when you can buy 5 bottles for just $6 (at Bath & Body Works). I think everyone enjoyed receiving one!

I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge or for any others for July. We love when you share your creativity with us and look forward to seeing what you have designed.

Make it a great week!

I Love to Crop!

On Saturday, May 27th, I hosted a Crop in Grapevine. I was joined by eight other papercrafters and we had such a pleasant time, creating and sharing in some laughter.

They were some busy bees and everyone was productive with the projects they worked on and completed. However, a papercrafters job is never done so we must get together again sometime soon. LOL
I always enjoy and try to provide a little goodie of some sort at all of my events, and this one was no different. This was made from a 7" x 7" piece of patterned paper from our Little Dreamer product line. I LOVE the polka dots included in this paper pack. You have already seen me use it a few times on some other projects. :) It's so cheery!
The pockets include a yummy piece of chocolate (Ghiradelli's fit great in here but the grocery store near me didn't have them so I had to go with a different brand that was still very tasty) and the M1172 Today stamp image. It is great for using on scrapbook pages to include a date or small detail.

If you would like to be informed of crop and other events I conduct in the DFW area, please contact me or join my VIP Facebook Group. (No CTMH Consultants allowed, please.)

Hoping you are having a wonderful week!

While I have seen this "ghiradelli"/"tea bag" holder on YouTube by several individuals, I used the dimensions and assembly directions provided by Michelle Snyder.
